WHAT DO POND FISH EAT?

Choosing fish food, make sure that the first ingredients which appears on the list are:
- fish meal,
- blood meal,
- shrimp meal,
- squid meal and other aquaculture protein.
HOW OFTEN TO FEED POND FISH?
There are some simple rules to simplify your pond feeding routine. We have listed them with a brief description for you below.

5-minute rule
Give your pond fish as much food as they can eat within 5 minutes. This time is enough for them to meet the daily requirement. Also keep in mind that larger fish may need more. Watch if they eat pieces of aquatic plants. If so, try feeding them more. However, remember not to overdo it with too much food as uneaten will remain at the bottom of the tank, destabilizing the ecosystem balance of your pond.

Summer snacks
Just as you like summer fruit snacks, your koi fish also love them. Once or twice a month, you can give your fish a snack in the form of sliced watermelon or orange.

Feeding routine
Going for a vacation, you don’t need to worry about your fish. They can eat algae and other beneficial bacteria which can be found on the rocks and gravel in your backyard pond. But when you stay at home it is important to establish a fish feeding routine. In this way, you will teach them to eat at the same time throughout the day. You’ll also be able to tame your koi to feed them from your hand.
