HOW LARGE SHOULD YOUR FISH POND BE?
The minimum area of a stocked and planted pond should not be less than 104 square feet, and its depth shall not be less than 3 feet. Optimal size of your pond let biological equilibrium being maintained for a long time, and frost does not cause damage to plants and fish deaths. The basin can be a bit shallower (but always deeper than 2 feet) if you are not breeding fish or growing plants in a deep water zone, such as water lilies.
